ANKARA (AA) - US new home sales in June hit their lowest level since April 2020, according to a report released Tuesday by the Census Bureau and the Housing and Urban Development Department.
Sales of new single‐family homes came in at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 590,000, down 8.1% from the revised May rate of 642,000.
The reading was 580,000 in April 2020.
On an annual basis, new home sales were 17.4% below the June 2021 figure of 714,000.
The median price of new homes sold was $402,400, while the average price was $456,800.
