WASHINGTON (AA) - Multiple people have been shot at a local high school in the Southern state of Tennessee, police in the city of Knoxville said on Monday.
Those shot include a police officer, the Knoxville Police Department said on Twitter.
"Multiple agencies are on the scene of a shooting at Austin-East Magnet High School. Multiple gunshot victims reported, including a KPD officer," the department said.
"The investigation remains active at this time. Please avoid the area."
Additional details on the shooting were not immediately available.
