WASHINGTON (AA) - The US Senate passed a Republican sweeping tax-cut and spending bill in a 51-50 vote on Tuesday.

Vice President JD Vance broke the 50-50 tie.

Republican senators Susan Collins, Rand Paul and Thom Tillis voted no.

After more than 24 hours of debate, the measure moves to the House of Representatives for a final vote, before it heads to President Donald Trump's desk.

"We'll go back and celebrate the One Big Beautiful Bill," Trump said in the state of Florida.
