NEW YORK (AA) - The stock market opened lower on Monday after technology firms' stock prices continued their decline.
The Dow fell 4 points to reach 21,268 points and the S&P 500 lost 3 points to come to 2,428 points.
The Nasdaq decreased 65 points, or more than 1 percent, to start the day at 6,142 points.
After posting big losses on Friday, technology companies' stocks continued their decline.
At the first bell, Apple shares decreased by 3.9 percent, while Microsoft and Amazon saw their stock price fall by 2.5 percent and 2.8 percent, respectively.
Google's parent company Alphabet had its shares decrease by 3.1 percent.
Tech stocks hit record levels in recent weeks but investors had a strong sell-off Friday to grab profits, according to analysts.
