Microsoft, Meta, IBM release better-than-expected performance for Q4 2025

NEW YORK / ISTANBUL (AA) — US tech firms Microsoft, Meta, and IBM reported revenues exceeding expectations for October–December 2025.

Microsoft’s revenue rose 17% year-on-year to $81.3 billion over the period, while its net profits climbed approximately 60% to $38.5 billion, and its earnings per share increased from $3.23 to $5.16.

The tech giant’s revenue from its Azure and other cloud services rose 39% over the same period.

Meanwhile, Meta’s revenue surged 24% to $59.9 billion in the fourth quarter of 2025, its net profits increased 9% to $22.8 billion, and its earnings per share rose from $8.02 to $8.88.

The Facebook maker expects its spending to reach somewhere between $162 billion and $169 billion in 2026 due to infrastructure costs.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a recent statement that the firm performed strongly last year, and now the tech giant has set its eyes on developing “personal superintelligence” in 2026.

IBM posted its balance sheet for the fourth quarter of 2025 recently. Its revenue surged 12% to $19.7 billion, while its net profits rose 91% to $5.6 billion, and its earnings per share increased from $3.09 to $5.88.

IBM CEO Arvind Krishna said in a statement accompanying the financial results that the company's software performance increased by double digits, while its generative artificial intelligence (AI) business volume exceeded $12.5 billion.

Krishna said IBM is expected to grow its revenue by over 5% and add an additional increase in free cash flow of around $1 billion in 2026.
