WASHINGTON (AA) - The US said it will announce another round of security assistance for Ukraine on Friday, a day when President Joe Biden will host German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
"It will include mostly ammunitions and munitions that the Ukrainians will need for the systems that they already have, like the HIMARS and the artillery," White House National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby told reporters, using the acronym for the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System.
He said Biden and Scholz will "certainly" be discussing additional support for Ukraine going forward during their meeting at the White House.
"Clearly, they're going to talk about Ukraine and how we can all work together to help support them as quickly as we possibly can," Kirby added.
