WASHINGTON (AA) - Democratic leadership in the House of Representatives demanded Monday that Rep. Ilhan Omar apologize for "anti-Semitic tropes and prejudicial accusations."
Omar, who along with Rep. Rashida Tlaib is one of the first two Muslim women elected to Congress, on Sunday said some congressional support for Israel is firmly rooted in political donations from pro-Israel groups, most prominently among the powerful American Israel Public Affairs Committee.
