NEW YORK (AA) - Wall street closed higher Tuesday as the U.S. airline companies' stocks gained.
The Dow added 35 points to close at 20,948 and the S&P rose two points to 2,391.
The Nasdaq increased by three points to finish the day at 6,095. The index climbed to 6,102 points to break a new record level.
American Airlines saw its shares rise 4.2 percent, while the Southwest Airlines stock price rose 3.6 percent and Delta Air Lines shares gained 5.3 percent.
