German airline company Germania starts weekly round flights, says TAV Airports

ISTANBUL (AA) – Turkey’s leading airport operator TAV announced Wednesday that Esenboga Airport in the Turkish capital Ankara received its first flight from Bremen, a city in northwestern Germany.

TAV Airports said in a statement that German airline company Germania started once-a-week round flights on Tuesday.

The first flight from Bremen landed at Esenboga Airport on Tuesday with 70 passengers, the statement added.

TAV Esenboga Airport General Manager Nuray Demirer said: “We are pleased with the start of Germania’s flight between Esenboga and Bremen.

“As Esenboga Airport we are connecting 36 destinations in Turkey and 21 other destinations in 12 countries,” she added.

Esenboga Airport hosted 88,000 flights serving 12.3 million passengers in 2015, the statement added.
