What Is Your Life Intention?

Have you thought about your purpose in life?

Mullah Nasrudin is one night looking for something next to a lamp post in the street outside his home. A friend walks by and asks what he’s doing.

The Mullah says, “I’m looking for my missing key.”

The friend decides to help and searches the ground under the lamp post.

Half an hour later the friend asks,”Are you sure you dropped your key here?”

Nasrudin replies, “Oh no, I lost it inside my house in my bedroom.”

The friend screams, “Why on earth are we searching here?”

Nasrudin smiles and says, “There is much more light here.”

Nasruddin's famous story above of looking for the lost key in the most convenient place instead of where he lost it is an ancient Sufi story that subtly speaks to the folly of looking for spiritual truths outside ourselves.

The truth is everything we seek is already within ourselves. Be it truth, happiness, prosperity or peace, one can find in our souls.  We ourselves decide what we want off life and how to live it. We have no control of events and happenings around us but we do control our reaction to them. Rather than trying to control the world around us, we can allow our natural abilities and positive traits to emerge by tapping intothe Power of Intention: the capacity for joy, creativity and kindness built into each of us.

You cannot always control what goes on outside. But you can always control what goes on inside.”  ― Wayne W. Dyer

What is intention?

It’s the difference between motivation and inspiration. Motivation is when you get hold of an idea and don’t let go of it until you make it a reality. Inspiration is the reverse—when an idea gets hold of you and you feel compelled to let that impulse or energy carry you along. You get to a point where you realize that you’re no longer in charge, that there’s a driving force inside you that can’t be stopped. Look at the great athletes, musician, artists, and writers. They all tap into a source. What is that source? Some call that source God or soul or spirit or consciousness. It's a source of energy that lives within each of us.

“With everything that has happened to you, you can either feel sorry for yourself or treat what has happened as a gift. Everything is either an opportunity to grow or an obstacle to keep you from growing. You get to choose.” ― Wayne W. Dyer

WHEN YOU FEEL CONNECTED to and in harmony with the universal mind of intention (GOD), you’ll sense a major difference in how other people react to you. These reactions are important because they bear directly on your ability to fulfill your own individual intentions, your goals and dreams. The more closely you resonate with the frequencies of the universal all-creating Source, the more others will be impacted. They’ll gravitate toward you, bringing peace, joy, love, beauty, and abundance into your life.

Change the way you look at things and the things you look at... change.  Let's promise ourselves now to live more from intention and less from habit... - Rose Erdogan
