JERUSALEM (AA) – An Israeli intelligence assessment warns that the world is on “the verge of a cliff”, with crises causing to reorder the planet’s geopolitics.
"The world is at on the verge of a cliff and is likely to be struck by a variety of crises affecting all aspects of life," said the assessment cited by The Jerusalem Post newspaper on Monday.
The intelligence report addresses a number of issues, including energy, health and water.
It suggests that Israel will go through a major change as the country is "evolving from an energy-weak country to energy independent with the fine - in recent decades - of natural gas in its maritime coastal areas."
The assessment warns that it may not be easy for Israel to maintain a geopolitical balance between positive relations with the US, China and Russia as the three powers move from open competition to greater conflict.
There was no comment from the Israeli authorities on the report.
