World-renowned pianist to perform in Ankara

Ankara set to host Elena Bashkirova on March 18

ANKARA (AA) - World-renowned pianist Elena Bashkirova will perform at a concert in the capital Ankara on Saturday, the Bilkent University Symphony Orchestra announced on its website.

Bashkirova will perform at the university’s concert hall.

The famed pianist is the founder of the Metropolis Ensemble in Berlin and has frequently performed with the Wien-Berlin Ensemble.

She will play Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 in D minor Op. 37.

Maestro Mathieu Herzog will conduct the concert.

Herzog is a known composer, arranger and the founder of the Quatuor Ebne.

Besides Bashkirova, Ankara Bilkent Orchestra will perform Brahm’s 3. Symphony in F major Op. 9. in the concert as well.
