ANKARA (AA) - A three-member delegation from Zambia arrived in capital Ankara on Wednesday to discuss a recently signed four-year education development cooperation deal.

The delegation comprised technocrats from the ministries of education and foreign affairs, according to a Turkish diplomatic source who spoke on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on talking to the media.

Zambian Ministry of General Education’s Planning and Information Director Louis Mwansa said a draft memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the education sector focused on early childhood, primary and secondary school and teacher education.

“The MoU will be in the context of what our colleagues at the Ministry of Higher Education have already signed. We don’t see much of a departure in our discussions,” he said.

Zambian Higher Education Minister Nkandu Luo and Turkish Ambassador to Zambia Sebnem Incesu signed a four-year education development cooperation agreement in Lusaka on Nov. 8.
