Sharaa, Trump reaffirm implementation of March 10 Agreement, integration of SDF into Syrian state: Syria’s UN envoy

ISTANBUL (AA) - Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN said the meeting Monday at the White House between Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa and US President Donald Trump reaffirmed the implementation of the March 10 Agreement and the integration of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) into the Syrian state.

In an interview with Syrian state-run Alikhbariya TV, Ibrahim Olabi said the Sharaa-Trump meeting covered the economic file, the security agreement with Israel, and President Trump’s remarks praising the Syrian people.​​​​​​​

“It was confirmed during the meeting that the March 10 Agreement will be implemented, along with the process of integrating the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) into the Syrian state,” he said.

He explained that “Syrian diplomacy operates in a parallel manner according to priorities determined by realities on the ground.”

Olabi revealed that the phrase “We have to get this done” was repeatedly used by both President Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio during the talks.

He added that the meeting also focused on economic cooperation and direct investment opportunities.
