KHARTOUM, Sudan (AA) - South Sudan government and rebels headed by opposition leader Riek Machar have signed a "preliminary" power-sharing deal in the Sudanese capital of Khartoum on Wednesday.

The agreement will keep current President Salva Kiir Myardit in his post and reinstate the rebel leader in his former post as first vice president.

Sudanese Foreign Minister Aldirdiri Mohamed Ahmed told reporters that the other opposition parties including the South Sudan opposition alliance (SSOA) have refused to sign the agreement as they have some reservations on the agreement.

He said the signing of the inclusive peace deal that will put an end to the five year of war of South Sudan will be signed on August 5.

The agreement will include four vice presidents, 35 ministers and 550 members of the parliament.

South Sudan warring parties have signed ceasefire and security arrangements in the past two weeks in the peace talks that sponsored by the Sudanese government.
