Spain condemns destruction of Ukrainian dam
Destruction of civilian infrastructure stands in violation of international humanitarian law, says Premier Pedro Sanchez

GENEVA (AA) - Spain on Tuesday condemned the destruction of the Kakhovka dam in southern Ukraine.
Voicing solidarity with the Ukrainian people, Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said on Twitter: "We condemn the destruction of civilian infrastructures, (which is) in violation of international humanitarian law."
"Spain will always stand with Ukraine against the brutal Russian aggression," Sanchez reiterated.
Explosions at the Kakhovka hydropower plant caused floodwaters earlier Tuesday in the southern parts of the country near Kherson.
Both Moscow and Kyiv accused each other of destroying the dam.
