Suicide attack targets Shia community in Kabul, 7 dead
Suspected bomber hits Shia community in area where they were marking death anniversary of their slain leader

KABUL, Afghanistan (AA) - At least seven people were killed and more than 20 others injured in a suspected suicide attack in capital Kabul on Friday, according to media reports and ministry official.
Ministry of Interior deputy spokesman Nusrat Rahimi told Anadolu Agency the suspected bomber detonated his explosives at a security barrier in the Dasht-e-Barchi neighborhood in western Kabul.
The Islamic Unity Party of Afghanistan belonging to the ethnic Shia community was marking the 23rd death anniversary of its slain leader Abdul Ali Mazari in the area when the blast took place, the spokesman added.
Local Tolo News said seven people were killed and more than 20 others wounded in the attack.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack by any individual or terror group.
The Afghan Shia community has been on the hit list of several terror groups in Afghanistan for many years.
