Syria suspends work at state institutions on Dec. 25-26

ISTANBUL (AA) - The Syrian Cabinet issued a directive on Tuesday suspending work at state institutions on Dec. 25-26.

Under the directive, all employees at government institutions will be granted an official holiday on these dates, the state news agency SANA reported.

The broadcaster, however, did not specify any reason for the holiday.

The Cabinet said exceptions will be made for ministries and public institutions whose circumstances require continuous operations.
