Tourist boat capsized in India: At least 16 dead

ANKARA (AA) - At least 16 people died and others feared dead after a boat carrying tourists capsized into the Krishna river in India late Sunday.

According to New Indian Express, the tourist boat was carrying around 40 people at the Pavithra Sangamam ferry ghat near Vijayawada.

The boat, as it was reported, was returning from Bhavani Island to the Pavithra Sangamam, where the River Godavari meets the Krishna.
