Trabzonspor to host Getafe for first win in group stage

ANKARA (AA) - Turkish football club Trabzonspor will take on Spanish opponents Getafe to get their first win in this season's UEFA Europa League group stage on Thursday.

Having increased their form in the Turkish Super Lig -- being in second spot with 22 points in the table --,Trabzonspor failed to meet fans expectations in their European campaign this season.

The Black Sea club recorded one draw and three losses in four Europa League matches as they currently bottomed the Group C with one point.

Trabzonspor have already been eliminated from this tournament after losing to Krasnodar 3-1 in Russia on Nov. 7.

In Group C, Basel from Switzerland are on top with 10 points.

Krasnodar and Getafe have six points each as these two are competing to be in the next stage.

Top two clubs in each group will qualify for the Round of 32 in Europa League.

The match between Trabzonspor and Getafe will kick off in Senol Gunes Spor Kompleksi Stadium at 6.50 p.m. local time (1550GMT).
