Josep Borrell's visit to island of Cyprus postponed to March, says presidency of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus

LEFKOSA, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (AA) – President of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Ersin Tatar spoke to the EU foreign policy chief over the phone, according to the country’s presidency on Tuesday.

In a written statement, the presidency said Josep Borrell called Tatar and informed that his visit to the island of Cyprus slated for Feb. 19 is postponed to March 4-5.

The two discussed the current issues and exchanged views, it said.

According to the reports in the Greek media, Borrell also held a phone conversation with the Greek Cypriot administration’s leader Nicos Anastasiades.
