TRT World documentary to draw attention to climate change

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye’s first international English-language news channel TRT World will present climate change and its effects on the world with a documentary hosted by Hollywood's famous actor Adrian Grenier.

In a statement, TRT World said that the documentary will be shot in Türkiye, Egypt and the US, covering the problems and solutions from all over the world, as well as the work of experts in the field.

The feature-length production, which will consist of a single episode, will deal with the appearance of disruptions caused by climate change in different geographies and adaptation solutions developed to overcome the difficulties arising from these problems.

The documentary, directed by award-winning Susan Gray, will also focus on the best practices in the fight against climate problems.

The main topics of the documentary are expected to be the most urgent environmental problems such as global warming, decrease in water resources, food safety and waste management.

The documentary will focus on these urgent problems and the most effective and effective solution methods in combating the difficulties encountered and feature interviews with people from different fields, from farmers to artists, from athletes to environmental activists.

Another interesting element of the production will be the fact that it will give wide coverage to the extremely important, practical, creative solutions presented by Türkiye, especially the Zero Waste project carried out under the auspices of Türkiye's first lady Emine Erdogan.

The documentary will also touch on agricultural innovations currently under development, such as vertical farming.

The title and release date of the documentary film, which is still being shot, is expected to be announced in the coming days.

Grenier, who came to Türkiye for the shooting of the documentary, is known for his role as “Vincent Chase” on the comedy-drama television series Entourage. Grenier is also known for being a sustainable living advocate.
