Decision taken by counter-terrorism commission formed following terrorist attacks in 2015

TUNIS, Tunisia (AA) – Tunisia’s National Commission on Counter-Terrorism has renewed the freezing of assets of 43 people over links to terrorism.

The names of the 43 people were listed in the Tunisian Official Gazette.

The anti-terror commission was formed in 2015 following a terrorist attack on a museum in the capital Tunis by five gunmen that left 23 people dead, including 20 foreign tourists. It commenced its activities in March 2016.

In January 2019, the commission froze assets linked to the Daesh/ISIS-linked Jund al-Khilafa terrorist group, as well as assets of 40 people over terrorism charges.
