Asylum seekers dragged to island after being pushed back by Greek vessels, says Turkish Coast Guard

IZMIR, Turkey (AA) - The Turkish Coast Guard on Thursday held 10 asylum seekers off the Aegean coast.
The Coast Guard Command said in a statement that the asylum seekers pushed back by Greek vessels had been dragged to Sungukaya island off the Cesme district of Izmir province.
They were brought to the shore by the teams and were taken to the provincial migration authority, it added.
