Turkey: 99 PKK terrorists killed in past 2 weeks
Security forces destroy terrorist shelters and seize explosive materials

ANKARA (AA) - Turkish security forces killed at least 99 PKK terrorists in southeastern Turkey during counterterrorism operations in the past two weeks, according to weekly statement from the Turkish General Staff.
Operations were carried out in the districts of Beytussebap and Yuksekova, respectively in the provinces of Sirnak Hakkari between Aug. 24 and Sept. 7, Saturday's statement.
At least 12 shelters used by the terrorists were destroyed. Forces also seized explosive materials and heavy ammunition.
The PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and EU -- resumed its armed campaign against Turkey in July 2015. Since then, it has been responsible for the deaths of around 1,200 Turkish security personnel and civilians.
