Turkey condoles loss of lives in Nepal thunderstorm
At least 35 people were killed, 600 injured in massive thunderstorm in Himalayan state of Nepal, local media report

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey on Tuesday extended condolences to families of those who lost their lives in a massive thunderstorm in the Himalayan state of Nepal.
"We have received the news with deep sorrow that in the southern part of Nepal a severe thunderstorm caused loss of many lives and injured hundreds of people," the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
“We extend our sincere condolences to the relatives of those who lost their lives as well as to the people and Government of Nepal and wish speedy recovery to the injured,” the statement added.
According to the Himalayan Times, a local daily, the massive storm struck Bara and the adjoining district of Parsa late on Sunday.
The death toll from the thunderstorm has reached 35 while over 600 people have been injured, according to the local media.
