Turkey: Erdogan to announce 40 mayoral candidates
Announcement to be made in AK Party Mayor Candidates Presentation Meeting in Istanbul

ANKARA (AA) - Turkish president and leader of Justice and Development (AK) Party will announce 40 mayoral candidates on Saturday.
According to a statement by the AK Party, Recep Tayyip Erdogan will announce the candidates -- including 14 metropolitan municipality and 26 provincial municipality mayoral candidates -- during the AK Party Mayor Candidates Presentation Meeting in Istanbul.
The statement added that the candidates for Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir will not be announced at today’s meeting.
The local elections in Turkey is scheduled to be held on March 31, 2019.
