Turkey extends condolences to Indonesia after bus crash
At least 27 pupils, parents, teachers killed in accident

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey extended condolences to Indonesia on Thursday following a bus incident that killed 27 students and teachers in the West Java region.
"We wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives in the accident, swift recovery to the injured and extend our condolences to the friendly and brotherly people of Indonesia as well as the bereaved families of the deceased," said a statement by the Foreign Ministry.
The bus was carrying students who were returning from a pilgrimage late Wednesday when its brakes malfunctioned.
Forty others were injured when the vehicle drove off of a winding road into a ravine.
