Turkey offers to train 20 Zambian doctors
Agreement was reached in Ankara on Thursday

LUSAKA, Zambia (AA) - Turkey has offered to train 20 Zambian doctors and paramedics to strengthen Zambia’s early warning response systems and diseases surveillance.
First Press Secretary to the Zambian mission in Turkey, Jerry Munthali said in a statement issued Thursday that Turkey was determined to implement the proposed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation relative to health services to the mutual benefit of the two countries.
“Turkey is ready to conduct a 15-day training within the shortest possible time for 20 doctors and paramedics [...],” he said.
According to Munthali, the agreement was reached during a meeting between the Turkey's head of department for international health policies Selami Kilic and the Zambian chargé d'affaires in Turkey, Bwalya Nondo, in Ankara on Thursday.
