Turkey proposes joint charity with Qatar in Jerusalem

Head of Turkey’s Religious Affairs Directorate proposes to initiate joint charity operations in Jerusalem, Al-Aqsa Mosque

DOHA (AA) - Turkey and Qatar will work together on charity projects related to Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, said the head of Turkish Religious Affairs Directorate on Thursday.

Ali Erbas, who is on an official visit to Qatar, proposed to have joint projects between Turkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) and Qatar’s General Directorate for Foundations on Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque complex.

Erbas met with Yusuf Bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, the CEO of Qatar Charity.

Kuwari said that his country is ready to cooperate with Turkey on charity work.

The Turkish official arrived in Qatar on Tuesday for a two-day visit after having visited Jordan on Monday.
