Turkey to continue flight information region practices

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's national defense minister said on Friday that the country will continue to apply existing practices on Flight Information Region (FIR).

Speaking to Anadolu Agency in the capital Ankara, Hulusi Akar said that there are no changes in practices of the FIR, a specified region of airspace in which a flight information service and an alerting service (ALRS) are provided.

“Turkey will continue its existing practices on the FIR line,” he said.
