Turkey's Borsa Istanbul tests record 2,050 level

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index ended with gains on Thursday, hitting all-time high of 2,053.47 points during the session and closing the day at a record high of 2,031.44 points.

Starting the day at 2,013.12 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 26.89 points, or 1.34%, from the previous close of 2,004.55 points.

One ounce of gold traded for $1,782.40 by market close, down from $1,790.15 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

The price of Brent crude oil was down 0.8% to $75.21 per barrel as of 6.59 p.m. local time (1559GMT).
