Turkey’s Borsa Istanbul up 1.04% at Thursday's close

ANKARA (AA) – Turkey’s benchmark stock index closed at 1,406.39 points on Thursday, up 1.04% from the previous close.

Starting the day at 1,393.69 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index gained 14.47 points from Wednesday's close of 1,391.92 points.

One ounce of gold traded for $1,732.55 by market close, down from $1,743.70 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul’s Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

The price of Brent crude oil was up 0.4% to $78.40 per barrel as of 6:34 p.m. local time (1534GMT).
