GAZA CITY, Palestine (AA) - The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) on Friday announced plans to provide hospitals run by Gaza’s Health Ministry with desperately-needed medical supplies.
In a statement, TIKA said it would provide medicine and medical equipment sufficient to meet the needs of 15,000 injured people.
The Palestinian territories have been tense since May 14, when the U.S. relocated its Israel embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, drawing condemnation from across the Arab and Muslim world.
Since Mar. 30, at least 118 Palestinian demonstrators have been martyred -- and thousands more injured -- by Israeli army gunfire in the eastern Gaza Strip.
