SAREJEVO, Croatia/ TUNIS/ Tunisia – Turkiye’s state-run aid agency on Wednesday distributed food in Croatia and Tunisia as part of its aid campaigns during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) delivered 500 food packages to the public soup centers of two churches in Zagreb, Croatia’s capital.
Turkiye’s Ambassador to Croatia Mustafa Babur Hizlan said TIKA extended a helping hand to people regardless of their religion and ethnicities, and the officials wanted to cooperate with locals during the last week of Ramadan.
The aid agency also said it provided food packages for 700 families in Tunisia during Ramadan. It also organized fast-breaking, or iftar, dinners gathering 200 people on a daily basis.
