JERICHO, Palestine (AA) - Turkey's state aid agency on Monday opened a facility in the West Bank to help Palestinian military personnel communicate better on the world stage.
Keman Ozdemir, the head of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency’s (TIKA) Middle East and Africa Department, attended the opening ceremony in Jericho, the West Bank, along with other TIKA and Palestinian officials.
Citing TIKA’s more than 500 projects in Palestine since 2005, Ozdemir said he hoped the multilingual facility may help Palestinian officers communicate more effectively to world media.
Yousuf al-Hilu, the head of Palestine’s military training committee, thanked Turkey and TIKA, saying that the lab will enhance the soldiers’ careers.
