Turkish archeries win gold in European event in Samsun

In European Archery Indoor Championships, Turkish team defeats Italian team in final to claim gold medal in Black Sea city

ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkey’s men team of archery won a gold medal on Friday in the European Archery Indoor Championships held in the Black Sea province of Samsun.

Turkish team of Goksel Altintas, Batuhan Akcaoglu and Yakup Yildiz beat the Italian team in the final of the compound junior men category at the 17th organization of the championships.

The four-day championships will run through Saturday.

The competition is organized in recurve and compound categories, which also divide into senior and junior categories in age.

On Thursday, Turkish compound junior women team of Yesim Bostan, Gizem Elmaagacli and Ezgi Gizem Altincibik also won a bronze medal in the tournament.
