Turkish army: 56 terrorists killed in northern Syria
Turkish forces hit 104 Daesh targets as part of Operation Euphrates Shield

ANKARA (AA) - At least 56 terrorists were killed in northern Syria over the last 24 hours by Turkish forces and the U.S.-led coalition, according to a Turkish General Staff statement on Thursday.
Opposition special forces continued their operations to clear Al-Bab of Daesh terrorists, taking control of two more neighborhoods, according to the statement.
Turkish land forces hit 90 Daesh targets, while Turkish fighter jets destroyed 14 Daesh targets as part of Operation Euphrates Shield.
Out of the 56 terrorists, 11 were killed in airstrikes carried out by the U.S.-led coalition, the army statement added. The raids also destroyed one vehicle belonging to the terrorist group.
The Turkish-led Operation Euphrates Shield began on Aug. 24, 2016 to improve security, support coalition forces and eliminate the terror threat along the Turkish border using Free Syrian Army fighters backed by Turkish artillery and jets.
