ISTANBUL (AA) - A Turkish charity has dispatched aid to over 2 million people in Yemen since 2018.

The Istanbul-based Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH) said in a statement that it has accelerated its efforts in Yemen, which, according to the UN, faces the world's worst humanitarian crisis.

It is providing health care, shelter, food, clean water, sanitation and education to people in Yemen.

The aid sent to the war-torn country includes blankets, clothes, shoes, fabrics, carpets, kitchen supplies, stationery equipment and hygiene packages.

The foundation has so far performed cataract surgery on 152 people living in the Ahrar Valley and treated 250 children with cerebral palsy in Aden.

It also provided oxygen cylinders to 16 hospitals and health centers, and set up health camps in Marib, where many refugees live.

Also, 1,200 Yemeni students will benefit from Veysel Karani Primary School in Marib after the construction is completed.
