Turkish community in Germany distributes food aid to homeless people

COLOGNE (AA) - The Turkish community in Germany distributed food to homeless people Friday in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Packages were prepared with the support of a Turkish businessman and distributed by volunteer Turkish youth in Bielefeld in northeast North Rhine-Westphalia.

The community will continue to provide food aid, especially for homeless people living on the streets in various cities in Germany, the head of the Merhaba & Mahlzeit association charity group, Tolga Ozgul, told Anadolu Agency.

Ozgul thanked everyone who supports the efforts and said cited the group’s operations in different countries, including opening a water well in Africa, building a school in Syria and providing fast-breaking meals in Pakistan.
