Cem Kahiaoglu makes farewell call to Mauritanian leaders, says Turkish embassy in Nouakchott

NOUAKCHOTT, Mauritania (AA) - The Turkish ambassador to Mauritania on Monday held talks with Mauritanian officials to enhance bilateral cooperation, state media said.
According to the official Mauritanian News Agency, Cem Kahiaoglu held separate meetings with Ould Dahi, Hanena Ould Sidi and Mohamed Ahmed OuldMohamed Lemine, Mauritania's health, defense and interior ministers, respectively.
The Turkish Embassy in Nouakchott, the capital of Mauritania, said Kahiaoglu made farewell calls to the leaders.
Following Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's visit to Mauritania in 2018 and signing of mutual agreements, bilateral ties have witnessed continuous progress.
Türkiye provides Mauritania development assistance in various domains through state aid agency TIKA, and the Turkish Maarif Foundation is also running schools in the North African country.
