Turkish firm Karmod completes container office project for shipyard in Black Sea city

ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkish modular building company Karmod on Friday said it has completed and delivered a container office building project for the Eregli Shipyard in the country’s Black Sea province of Zonguldak.

The project consists of six blocks with a total area of 484 square meters. The buildings will serve as office space for the company operating in the shipbuilding industry.

Karmod General Manager Abdullah Yuceer said the new-generation container office buildings are increasingly preferred for industrial facilities due to their durable and practical design.

“We offer a fast solution for businesses' office needs with our secure and long-lasting container structures, which eliminate the need for on-site construction,” Yuceer said.

“We completed the setup of all six blocks in the Eregli project in just six days,” he added. “All prefabrication was done in our factory, and our specialized teams carried out the on-site installation, including all electrical work and bolted connections.”

He added that the container model reduces building costs by eliminating manual construction labor and material waste, providing a cost-effective option for businesses.

The company noted that the container offices feature a sandwich panel system from walls to the roof, enabling energy-efficient climate control. The modular system allows the units to be installed side by side or stacked, offering flexible workspace configurations.

The project delivered to Eregli Shipyard includes four two-story blocks and two single-story blocks, with individual office areas of 42, 64, and 252 square meters. The total installation was completed in six days, making the offices ready for immediate use.
