'Turkish forces seize illegally hunted sand mussels'
750 kilograms of sand mussels were to be sent to Greece, sources say

EDIRNE, Turkey (AA) - Turkish security forces have confiscated about 750 kilograms (1,653 pound) of illegally hunted sand mussels in northwestern Turkey, according to security sources on Monday.
Police and gendarmerie teams found the sand mussels near the coast in the Enez district of Edirne province, said the sources on the condition of anonymity.
The alive mussels, said to be hunted to be sent to Greece illegally, were released into the sea by the local agriculture and forestry directorate.
Enez District Governor Sukru Alperen Goktas said the fight against smuggling will continue.
