Turkish foreign minister meets counterpart in Oman
Mevlut Cavusoglu says Turkey, Oman are working for regional stability and security

MUSCAT, Oman (AA) - Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu discussed bilateral ties and latest regional developments with his counterpart Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdallah in capital Muscat on Sunday.
Speaking after his meeting, Cavusoglu highlighted "excellent" ties between Turkey and Oman, noting that economic relations were also improving.
"We have the same complete understanding of regional issues with Oman. We are working for the stability and security of the region," he told Anadolu Agency.
The foreign minister also said Turkish companies were carrying out important projects in Oman, and added the only thing lacking between the two countries was "frequent visits".
"We are working on that as well," Cavusoglu said. "We will have visits more often to catch up on that."
According to TurkStat, Turkey exported goods to Oman worth $244 million in 2016, while importing $49 million value of goods.
