Turkish, Iranian, KRG, and Bosnian leaders extend warm Eid al-Adha wishes

Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Iran's Ebrahim Raisi discuss bilateral ties, regional issues over phone

ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan engaged in separate phone calls with leaders from Iran, the Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) in northern Iraq, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, where they exchanged warm greetings for Eid al-Adha, according to Türkiye's Communications Directorate Thursday.

Erdogan, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, KRG President Nechirvan Barzani and Bakir Izetbegovic, president of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) of Bosnia and Herzegovina expressed their hope that Eid al-Adha would bring peace, serenity, and prosperity to the Islamic world and humanity as a whole.

Additionally, Erdogan and Raisi discussed bilateral relations and regional issues during their conversation.

Eid al-Adha, or the Feast of Sacrifice, is the second most important Muslim holiday. It marks the culmination of the annual Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.
