Turkish parliament asked to probe coup attempt
Justice and Development (AK) Party calls for parliamentary commission

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party on Tuesday submitted a request for parliament to probe Friday's attempted coup.
The proposal signed by party’s deputies called for a commission to “investigate the coup staged by a terror organization infiltrated in the Turkish armed forces.”
The attempt to overthrow the government has been blamed on followers of U.S.-based Fetullah Gulen within the military.
