IZMIR, Turkey (AA) - Police in Turkey arrested one PKK/KCK terror suspect on Saturday, who was wanted for seven different offenses, a security source said.
The police conducted an anti-terror operation in western Izmir province and arrested the suspect who was carrying a fake identity card, said the source, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on speaking to the media.
Later, the terror suspect was remanded in custody by a court.
In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US and EU -- has been responsible for the deaths of 40,000 people, including women, children and infants.
