According to the sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on talking to the media, PKK terrorists detonated the explosive as a military vehicle was traveling in Hakkari's Semdinli district.
All four wounded soldiers were initially taken to the Semdinli and Yuksekova state hospitals.
After then being sent to a hospital in the eastern Van province, one of the wounded later succumbed to his injuries.
An air-supported operation in the region is underway to apprehend the terrorists.

Since then, PKK terrorist attacks have martyred more than 700 security force members and also claimed the lives of many civilians, including women and children, while around 8,000 PKK terrorists have been killed or apprehended.
