Turkish stock exchange begins midweek up
BIST 100 gains 43.4 points at opening session

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Wednesday at 10,772.04, up 0.40% or 43.44 points.
On Tuesday, the BIST 100 was up 0.28% to close at 10,728.60 points, with a daily transaction volume of 125 billion Turkish liras ($2.96 billion).
As of 10 am local time (0700GMT), exchange rates stood at 42.3565 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 49.1110 to the euro, and 55.7150 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $4,091.95, while Brent crude oil was trading at $64.25 per barrel.
