Turkish stock exchange begins week exceeding 11,000 points
BIST 100 index gains 68.69 points on Monday's opening bell

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Monday exceeding the 11,000-point level, up 0.63% or 68.69 points from the previous close.
The BIST 100 index started the week at 11,041.31 points, extending last week's gains.
Last Thursday, the benchmark index topped the 11,000-point level for the first time in a year.
On Friday, the BIST 100 was up by 0.15% to 10,972.63 points, with a daily transaction volume of 102.1 billion Turkish liras ($2.5 billion).
As of 09.50 am local time (0650GMT), exchange rates stood at 40.7145 liras to the US dollar, 47.5410 to the euro, and 54.8870 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $3,368.60, while Brent crude oil was trading at $65.85 per barrel.
